Which area of my portfolio is overrepresented?
An allocation question asks how a portfolio is divided — by asset class, sector, region or currency. What counts is the weight of each slice against the total, and the look-through into funds: an ETF is not one holding but hundreds.
Worked through on a sample portfolio. The figures below are that portfolio’s, not yours.
Your largest overrepresentation is in ETF: current allocation 31,21% vs target allocation 51,07 (ETFs are underweight), but by instrument type the biggest deviation from target is actually Stock — current allocation 49,09% vs target allocation 38,35, so stocks are overweight relative to their target.
In short: stocks are overrepresented in your portfolio.
